We, at Monument Universe, are deeply honored to have Tirumala Deva Raya (second from the right), the current reigning prince of the Vijayanagara Dynasty, coming on board our feature on Hampi. He is the 20th descendant of Krishnadeva Raya, the renowned Vijayanagara king.
Getting Tirumala to join us would’ve definitely remained a mere wish but for Abhijeet (first from the right) who was solely instrumental in enabling this synergy. We are immensely thankful to him for this great initiative that sprang out of his love for the land he belongs to. A true Hampian!
Back to Tirumala… The initial apprehension I had about having a prince talk about his kingdom, soon transitioned to an unbelievably friendly equation. The content discussions and the subsequent shoot schedules played out on such an orchestrated equation that the entire experience turned musical. Abhijeet ‘playing’ on one side, Tirumala Deva Raya on another, Narayan, the cinematographer (second from the left) on yet another, with Yaash (first from the left) assisting him!
On my part, I was witness to the beauty of teamwork at work. The realization that it’s the very spine of a great body of work was nothing short of blissful.
