ESSENTIALS OF WRITING: I SHOULD MAKE MY READERS FEEL SECURE WITH ME!

One of the important essentials of writing I remind myself on is, I should give my readers that much-needed sense of security. That’s the bottom-line of my equation with them. They should feel they’re in secure hands. They should ‘feel’ my utter regard for their sensibilities.

Then, there’s a good chance I will ‘reach’ them. Because, they’re more than willing to live with my characters anyways. To feel happy for them. To share their pang. To wish for their well-being. To rue their defeat. To celebrate their victory.
